Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana
Objective:
Empower residential households to generate their own electricity through rooftop solar installations, providing up to 300 units of free electricity monthly.
Subsidy Details:
- ₹30,000 per kW for systems up to 2 kW
- ₹18,000 per kW for additional capacity up to 3 kW
- Total subsidy capped at ₹78,000 for systems larger than 3 kW
Eligibility:
- Residential homeowners with a valid electricity connection and adequate rooftop space.
